6.3 1-Click Jira Defect Creation with Reproduction Evidence

How to file Jira bug tickets directly from failed test reports with steps, screenshots, and logs pre-populated.

The Click Is Fast Because the Decisions Were Made Earlier

Section titled “The Click Is Fast Because the Decisions Were Made Earlier”

Filing a bug by hand from a failed test usually means opening Jira, picking the right project, picking the right issue type, then copying over steps and screenshots from wherever the test run left them – enough friction that a lot of real failures never get ticketed at all. 1-Click Jira Defect Creation removes that friction by not asking those questions at ticket-creation time: which Jira project and issue type a suite’s failures should file into is configured once, on the same suite Alerts panel used for Slack routing, so the button on a failed case has nothing left to ask you.

Clicking “🎫 Jira Bug” on any failed case in Run Reports creates a ticket pre-populated with the case’s actual reproduction steps (the authored step list, not a paraphrase of it), the specific error that caused the failure, and the screenshot and DOM state captured at that step by the Time-Travel Inspector – everything a developer needs to start investigating without ever opening CertiQA themselves.
